Our Core Beliefs

Learning ~ We believe that children deserve a self-paced and challenging education. At My Preschool Adventures, we realize that all children are unique and therefore the traditional “one size fits all” approach to preschool education will only keep a child from attaining his/her best self.

Our preschool curriculum is structured to promote the cognitive, social and physical development of the child through purposeful play and guided lessons.

At My Preschool Adventures, we incorporate the following areas of
discovery: Science, Math, Manipulatives, Fine/Gross Motor, Language/Phonics, Dramatic Play, Library, and Art.

Listening ~ We believe that children deserve to be heard and respected for the individuals they are.

At My Preschool Adventures, listening is a very important part of our program. If a child has something to say to a teacher, we approach them on their level and then we listen intensively, without interrupting the child. This is how a child establishes trust with the teacher. We also teach our children to listen to each other. If there is a conflict between two students, we help them gain the tools needed to resolve conflicts peacefully and respectfully by having them face each other to discuss their conflict and actively listen to each other.

Self-discipline and Freedom ~ We believe that children deserve opportunities to express themselves and assert their growing independence.

At My Preschool Adventures there is always supervision nearby, however, we do allow children the opportunity to spend time alone or in small groups.

Child initiated activities give individuals a chance to take risks without the approval or disapproval of a teacher. Children deeply appreciate being trusted and thrive in these free but safe periods of time. Our school program is rich with materials and interesting starting points for free exploration.

An engaging environment ~ We believe that children deserve to feel safe, and cared for.

At My Preschool Adventures, our building awaits the children with its natural light, innovative decor and its eager teachers.
We take pride in maintaining an atmosphere that is full of color, textures, sound and light to help promote an overall sense of well being for our children and staff.
